Join SCAG for the upcoming Toolbox Tuesday session, “Working With Census Data in R: Analyzing and Visualizing Trends” to learn how to use the R statistical programming language to extract, wrangle, and visualize demographic and economic trends. R provides a free, open-source software environment for integrating a wide range of data analysis tasks. 

Publicly available data sources provide essential demographic, socioeconomic, and economic information critical to planning practice and research. Effectively visualizing these data can enhance communication with decision-makers, stakeholders, and the public. R provides a free, open-source software environment for handling a wide range of data analytic tasks in an integrated way. This session will focus on analyzing demographic and economic trends using the R statistical programming language to extract, wrangle, and visualize data.   

The session will focus on oriented toward the American Community Survey (ACS) data and will also highlights other key data resources relevant to planning. Session materials will be posted here a week prior to the session.
